| Illusive 20x30 pastel on Stonehenge with ground |
I am still not quite finished with this one. Going to add some more green touches in spots and then it is finished. I've been working on workshop outlines and getting organized. Going in this direction will be a challenge but I think one that will also be energizing. I'm looking forward to it. I've been sending out a lot of gallery inquiries lately. I'm finding many that do not take any works on paper - of any sort. Some want abstracts to have a representational element or foundation. I certainly have made things challenging for myself. Abstract pastels! Once the leaves are off the trees I will go back to adding some abstracted river elements. I may use this current technique to explore an abstracted river.

The right one will come by, Debora. The excuses that are made are just that - your work is very wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to hearing @ your workshops. Also, I have a full blown abstract going on my easel, now. We'll see how it turns out - I'm excited about that!
Blown away with your work...seriously beautiful..I want some of that loseness
ReplyDeleteThe Maryland Pastel Society had a gallery owner recently give a talk about getting into a gallery, selling work, etc. The impacting comment she made was nothing under glass is selling. I suppose it depends on the area and market, but it is still a very broad statement that covers pastels and watercolors... Good luck with your search...
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine anyone not wanting to own one of your paintings... BB
I look forward to seeing the finish. It is beautiful right now.
