Threshold and music by Robert Plant

Threshold
pastel on Stonehenge with ground
20x30

I completed this pastel today.  I really enjoy doing these textural pieces.  I may use this one for the Pointe  of Departure exhibit by the Joffrey Ballet.  I will continue working in this size and see if I come up with another that I like better.  I tried using music to one of their ballets my a composer Max Richter.  I like the music but eventually went back to Robert Plant and Led Zepplin.  I guess that music just does more for my psyche than contemporary classical.  Now I need to figure out the framing part of the equation.  Should I mat or not mat?  I keep thinking of a wide silver frame for these but should it be metal or wood?  Glass or plexiglass? Glass against the piece or use of spacers?  So many considerations.
